Sage Hill Lightning (Newport Beach, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Northwood Timberwolves (Irvine, CA), 68-65 in a league bout.

With the victory, Sage Hill upgrades its record to 6-11 on the campaign. The Lightning travel to Shadow Hills (Indio, CA) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 5-15. Shadow Hills lost 61-47 in their recent league bout against Palm Desert (Palm Desert, CA)

Next up, the Timberwolves play the Beckman Patriots (Irvine, CA) in a Pacific Coast bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Northwood will attempt to upgrade on its 10-12 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 11-9 record after their 70-55 league win over Irvine (Irvine, CA).
