Roselle Catholic Lions (Roselle, NJ) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Payne Tech Lions (Newark, NJ), 101-58 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Roselle Catholic upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Paul VI (Chantilly, VA) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Sunday, January 15. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 14-1. Paul VI won 109-58 in their recent league bout against The Heights (Potomac, MD)

Next up, the Lions play the North Star Academy (Newark, NJ) in a Super Essex - Liberty bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Payne Tech will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record.
