In Thursday's league outing, the Lynden Lions (Lynden, WA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Blaine Borderites (Blaine, WA), by a margin of 62-21.
The Lions (7-1) will now prepare for their outing against Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA). The Tigers go into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest outing with a 6-1 record. In their last outing, Burlington-Edison smashed Lakewood (Arlington, WA), 74-30, in a league outing.
The Borderites now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Mt. Baker for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout on Monday, January 16. Blaine will play a Mountaineers squad coming off a 63-52 league loss to Squalicum (Bellingham, WA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 0-7.
