In Thursday's non-league match, the host Shadow Ridge Mustangs basketball team scored a decisive 70-20 triumph over the Bonanza Bengals.

In their next game, the Mustangs meet the Bishop Gorman Gaels (Las Vegas, NV) in a 5A Southern match, on Tuesday, January 17. Shadow Ridge will attempt to move on its 9-6 season record. The Gaels enter the match with a 9-8 record after their 81-52 league loss to Centennial (Las Vegas, NV).

With the defeat, Bonanza moves to 2-12 on the year. The Bengals host Valley (Las Vegas, NV) to meet the Vikings in a 4A Desert match on Friday, January 13.
