In Thursday's non-league outing, the Saucon Valley Panthers (Hellertown, PA) basketball squad edged the host Catasauqua Rough Riders (Catasauqua, PA), by a count of 40-35.
The Panthers (5-8) will now prepare for their outing against Palmerton (Palmerton, PA). The Blue Bombers go into the non-league outing with a 5-1 record. In their last outing, Palmerton held off Moravian Academy (Bethlehem, PA), 49-31, in a non-league outing.
The Rough Riders now hold a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Notre Dame-Green Pond for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 14. Catasauqua will clash with a Crusaders squad coming off a 45-27 non-league win over Southern Lehigh (Center Valley, PA). The Crusaders record now stands at 5-1.
