Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Clever Blue Jays (Clever, MO) and the visiting Mt. Vernon Mountaineers (Mt. Vernon, MO), saw Clever's basketball squad wallop Mt. Vernon by a count of 58-26.
With the victory, Clever upgrades its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Blue Jays travel to Billings (Billings, MO) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 3-3. Billings won 67-64 in their recent non-league challenge against Bradleyville (Bradleyville, MO)
Next up, the Mountaineers play the Hollister Tigers (Hollister, MO) in a Big 8 challenge, on Monday, January 23. Mt. Vernon will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 55-39 non-league win over Greenwood (Springfield, MO).
