Connecticut High School Basketball - Morgan topped by Coginchaug Regional

The Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the visiting Morgan Huskies to 31 in the Blue Devils league victory on Thursday.

The Blue Devils now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Hampton for a Shoreline contest on Tuesday, January 17. Coginchaug Regional will battle a Bellringers team coming off a 51-19 league win over Old Saybrook (Old Saybrook, CT). The Bellringers record now stands at 9-1.

The Huskies (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Portland (Portland, CT). The Highlanders come into the Shoreline contest with a 0-9 record. In their last contest, Portland was defeated by Valley Regional (Deep River, CT), 88-24, in a league contest.
