The Deptford Spartans basketball team (Deptford, NJ), was nudged 50-44 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Pitman Panthers (Pitman, NJ)
The Panthers now possess a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clayton for a Tri-County - Classic battle on Tuesday, January 17. Pitman will confront a Clippers team coming off a 46-30 non-league win over Pennsauken Tech (Pennsauken, NJ). The Clippers record now stands at 8-3.
The Spartans (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Delsea (Franklinville, NJ). The Crusaders come into the Tri-County - Liberty battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Delsea was nudged by Williamstown (Williamstown, NJ), 51-41, in a non-league battle.
