The Grant Community Bulldogs basketball team (Fox Lake, IL), was overwhelmed 68-35 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Vernon Hills Cougars (Vernon Hills, IL)
The Cougars now possess a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Deerfield for a Central Suburban - North battle on Friday, January 13. Vernon Hills will confront a Warriors team coming off a 60-29 league win over Maine West (Des Plaines, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 15-4.
The Bulldogs (7-12) will now prepare for their battle against McHenry (McHenry, IL). The Warriors come into the non-league battle with a 3-15 record. In their last battle, McHenry was overwhelmed by Crystal Lake South (Crystal Lake, IL), 38-34, in a league battle.
