Kentucky High School Basketball - Hancock County can't hold off Owensboro

The Hancock County Hornets basketball team (Lewisport, KY), was nudged 69-68 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Owensboro Red Devils (Owensboro, KY)

The Red Devils now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Meade County for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 17. Owensboro will battle a Green Waves team coming off a 72-56 league win over Breckinridge County (Harned, KY). The Green Waves record now stands at 11-7.

The Hornets (8-4) will now prepare for their battle against Trigg County (Cadiz, KY). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 4-8 record.
