The Homer Pelicans basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Summerfield Rebels to 34 in the Pelicans non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Pelicans now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Glenbrook for a 1A District 1 contest on Friday, January 20. Homer will battle a Apaches team coming off a 51-48 league loss to Haynesville (Haynesville, LA). The Apaches record now stands at 3-3.

The Rebels (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Kilbourne (Kilbourne, LA). The Hawks enter the C District 1 contest with a 3-16 record. In their last contest, Kilbourne was defeated by Forest (Forest, LA), 50-35, in a non-league contest.
