The Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD) basketball felled the host Ipswich Tigers (Ipswich, SD), 58-38 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Wildcats (5-2) will now prepare for their test against Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] (Gettysburg, SD). The Battlers go into the non-league test with a 7-1 record. In their last test, Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] thwarted Aberdeen Christian (Aberdeen, SD), 67-35, in a non-league test.
The Tigers now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Webster for a non-league test on Saturday, January 14. Ipswich will encounter a Bearcats squad coming off a 71-20 non-league loss to Hamlin (Hayti, SD). The Bearcats record now stands at 1-6.
