Valley Vikings (Caledonia, MO) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Kingston Cougars (Cadet, MO), 41-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Valley upgrades its record to 2-7 on the season. The Vikings host Bourbon (Bourbon, MO) to clash with the War Hawks in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 19. The War Hawks go into the bout with a record of 4-11. Bourbon lost 62-39 in their recent non-league bout against Bismarck (Bismarck, MO)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Grandview Eagles (Hillsboro, MO) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Kingston will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 7-7 record after their 33-29 league loss to St. Pius X (Festus, MO).
