Riggs Governors (Pierre, SD) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Lakota Tech Tatanka (Pine Ridge, SD), 60-41 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Riggs upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Governors host Douglas (Box Elder, SD) to play the Patriots in a AA bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 1-7. Douglas lost 50-34 in their recent league bout against Brandon Valley (Brandon, SD)
Next up, the Tatanka play the Crofton Warriors (Crofton, NE) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Lakota Tech will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 12-1 record after their 43-32 non-league win over West Central (Hartford, SD).
