The Olympia Spartans basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Maroa-Forsyth Trojans to 15 in the Spartans league triumph on Thursday.
The Spartans now sport a 12-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Peoria Heights for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 14. Olympia will battle a Patriots team coming off a 47-35 non-league win over Roanoke-Benson (Roanoke, IL). The Patriots record now stands at 9-9.
The Trojans (12-9) will now prepare for their contest against Monticello (Monticello, IL). The Sages enter the non-league contest with a 7-13 record. In their last contest, Monticello triumphed over Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL), 53-44, in a league contest.
