The Middlesex Bluejays (Middlesex, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting South Plainfield Tigers (South Plainfield, NJ), 47-43 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Bluejays (9-0) will now prepare for their test against South River (South River, NJ). The Rams go into the Greater Middlesex - Blue test with a 6-5 record. In their last test, South River got by Carteret (Carteret, NJ), 54-35, in a league test.
The Tigers now own a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to J.P. Stevens for a non-league test on Saturday, January 14. South Plainfield will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 49-35 non-league loss to North Plainfield (North Plainfield, NJ). The Hawks record now stands at 3-8.
