The Tri-County Penguins basketball team (Plainfield, WI), was overwhelmed 69-31 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Rio Vikings (Rio, WI)
The Vikings now possess a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Markesan for a Trailways - West battle on Thursday, January 19. Rio will confront a Hornets team coming off a 60-47 non-league loss to Winnebago Lutheran Academy (Fond du Lac, WI). The Hornets record now stands at 4-7.
The Penguins (3-6) will now prepare for their battle against Rosholt (Rosholt, WI). The Hornets come into the Central Wisconsin - South battle with a 5-7 record. In their last battle, Rosholt trounced Port Edwards (Port Edwards, WI), 64-16, in a league battle.
