Lee Williams Volunteers (Kingman, AZ) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Flagstaff Eagles (Flagstaff, AZ), 3-2 in a league challenge.

Next, the Volunteers face the Peoria Panthers (Peoria, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 13. Lee Williams will attempt to better on its 8-1 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Combs (San Tan Valley, AZ).

The Eagles now have a 9-2 record. They take the field next when they host Mohave for a 4A Grand Canyon challenge on Thursday, January 19. Flagstaff will face a Thunderbirds team coming off a 4-0 league win over Bradshaw Mountain (Prescott Valley, AZ). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 11-3.
