The Archbishop Carroll Patriots (Radnor, PA) basketball nipped the visiting La Salle College Explorers (Wyndmoor, PA), 49-48 in Friday's league test.

The Patriots (8-5) will now prepare for their test against Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic (Drexel Hill, PA). The Friars/Pandas go into the Philadelphia Catholic test with a 8-4 record. In their last test, Monsignor Bonner/Archbishop Prendergast Catholic was tipped by St. Joseph's Prep (Philadelphia, PA), 75-66, in a league test.

The Explorers now own a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Archbishop Wood for a Philadelphia Catholic test on Tuesday, January 16. La Salle College will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 73-71 non-league win over Centennial (Corona, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 6-7.
