In Friday's non-league outing, the North Phoenix Preparatory Academy Gladiators (Phoenix, AZ) basketball squad nipped the host Bagdad Sultans (Bagdad, AZ), by a margin of 44-38.
The Gladiators (7-6) will now prepare for their outing against Antelope (Wellton, AZ). The Rams go into the non-league outing with a 9-2 record.
The Sultans now own a 4-12 record. They play next when they host Salome for a 1A West outing on Tuesday, January 16. Bagdad will clash with a Frogs squad coming off a 73-47 non-league win over Desert Heights Prep (Glendale, AZ). The Frogs record now stands at 13-7.
