Hettinger/Scranton Black Devils (Hettinger, ND) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Beach Buccaneers (Beach, ND), 68-44 in a league bout.
With the win, Hettinger/Scranton upgrades its record to 1-6 on the season. The Black Devils travel to Garrison (Garrison, ND) to clash with the Troopers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 13. The Troopers go into the bout with a record of 9-2. Garrison won 67-42 in their recent league bout against New Salem (New Salem, ND)
Next up, the Buccaneers clash with the Grant County co-op [Carson/Elgin-New Leipzig/Mott-Regent] (Elgin, ND) in a B District 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The go into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 53-47 non-league loss to Harding County (Buffalo, SD).
