The Monsignor Scanlan Crusaders basketball team scored 82 points and held the visiting Bishop Loughlin Lions to 42 in the Crusaders league triumph on Friday.

The Crusaders now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Xaverian for a non-league contest on Sunday, January 14. Monsignor Scanlan will battle a Clippers team coming off a 69-46 league loss to Nazareth (Brooklyn, NY). The Clippers record now stands at 4-4.

The Lions (3-11) will now prepare for their bout against Christ the King (Middle Village, NY). The Royals come into the Catholic AA - Brooklyn/Queens bout with a 10-1 record. In their last bout, Christ the King overwhelmed East Catholic (Manchester, CT), 81-52, in a non-league bout.
