Central Wildcats (Baton Rouge, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host St. Martinville Tigers (St. Martinville, LA), 52-43 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Central upgrades its record to 16-5 on the season. The Wildcats host Baker (Baker, LA) to clash with the Buffaloes in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 17. The Buffaloes go into the bout with a record of 1-12.
Next up, the Tigers clash with the Kaplan Pirates (Kaplan, LA) in a 3A District 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. St. Martinville will attempt to upgrade on its 8-15 season record. The Pirates go into the bout with a 5-15 record after their 69-37 league loss to Erath (Erath, LA).
