Arizona High School Basketball - Rincon/University can't hold off Cholla

The Cholla Chargers basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Rincon/University Rangers to 67 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Chargers now sport a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ironwood Ridge for a 5A Southern contest on Tuesday, January 16. Cholla will battle a Nighthawks team coming off a 78-72 non-league loss to Sunnyside (Tucson, AZ). The Nighthawks record now stands at 4-14.

The Rangers (6-12) will now prepare for their contest against Cienega (Vail, AZ). The Bobcats enter the non-league contest with a 11-7 record. In their last contest, Cienega was nudged by Tucson High Magnet School (Tucson, AZ), 67-56, in a non-league contest.
