Illinois High School Basketball - Massac County winner over Gallatin County

The Massac County Patriots (Metropolis, IL) basketball felled the host Gallatin County Hawks (Junction, IL), 73-61 in Friday's non-league test.

The Patriots (13-5) will now prepare for their test against Fort Campbell (Fort Campbell, KY). The Falcons go into the non-league test with a 2-4 record. In their last test, Fort Campbell was beaten by Dawson Springs (Dawson Springs, KY), 74-54, in a non-league test.

The Hawks now own a 7-13 record. They play next when they host Norris City-Omaha-Enfield for a Greater Egyptian test on Tuesday, January 16. Gallatin County will encounter a Fighting Cardinals squad coming off a 77-43 non-league loss to Grayville (Grayville, IL). The Fighting Cardinals record now stands at 5-14.
