Gilmour Academy Lancers (Gates Mills, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host University School Preppers (Hunting Valley, OH), 69-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gilmour Academy upgrades its record to 8-4 on the season. The Lancers host Trinity (Garfield Heights, OH) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 6-4. Trinity won 56-44 in their recent league bout against Independence (Independence, OH)

Next up, the Preppers clash with the South Rebels (Willoughby, OH) in a non-league bout, on Sunday, January 14. University School will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 52-48 league win over Mayfield (Mayfield, OH).
