Graford Rabbits (Graford, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Idalou Wildcats (Idalou, TX), 57-51 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Graford upgrades its record to 16-4 on the campaign. The Rabbits travel to Woodson (Woodson, TX) to play the Cowboys in a 1A Region III District 21 bout on Friday, January 19. The Cowboys come into the bout with a record of 16-5. Woodson won 92-17 in their recent league bout against Throckmorton (Throckmorton, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Abernathy Antelopes (Abernathy, TX) in a 3A Region I District 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Idalou will attempt to upgrade on its 17-7 season record. The Antelopes come into the bout with a 9-11 record after their 63-60 league win over Roosevelt (Lubbock, TX).
