Hampton Roads Academy Navigators (Newport News, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Walsingham Academy Trojans (Williamsburg, VA), 49-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Hampton Roads Academy upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Navigators host Peninsula Catholic (Newport News, VA) to play the Knights in a Tidewater Independent bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Peninsula Catholic won 70-41 in their recent non-league bout against KIPP DC Legacy College Prep (Washington, DC)

Next up, the Trojans play the Cape Henry Collegiate Dolphins (Virginia Beach, VA) in a Tidewater Independent bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Walsingham Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Dolphins go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 70-62 non-league loss to Green Run (Virginia Beach, VA).
