The Madison Plains Golden Eagles (London, OH) basketball nipped the host Triad Cardinals (North Lewisburg, OH), 49-43 in Friday's league test.

The Golden Eagles (6-8) will now prepare for their test against West Liberty-Salem (West Liberty, OH). The Tigers go into the Ohio Heritage test with a 8-3 record. In their last test, West Liberty-Salem was tipped by Indian Lake (Lewistown, OH), 60-39, in a non-league test.

The Cardinals now own a 3-9 record. They play next when they travel to Greenon for a Ohio Heritage test on Tuesday, January 16. Triad will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 60-48 non-league win over Northwestern (Springfield, OH). The Knights record now stands at 4-8.
