Southeast Lancers (Cherokee, KS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Marmaton Valley Wildcats (Moran, KS), 49-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Southeast upgrades its record to 3-4 on the season. The Lancers host Altoona-Midway (Buffalo, KS) to play the Jets in a Three Rivers bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Jets go into the bout with a record of 5-4.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Cherryvale Chargers (Cherryvale, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Marmaton Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 74-36 non-league loss to Humboldt (Humboldt, KS).
