Squalicum Storm (Bellingham, WA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA), 66-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Squalicum upgrades its record to 6-8 on the season. The Storm host Sedro-Woolley (Sedro-Woolley, WA) to play the Cubs in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Cubs go into the bout with a record of 7-7. Sedro-Woolley won 47-39 in their recent league bout against Sehome (Bellingham, WA)

Next up, the Mountaineers play the Blaine Borderites (Blaine, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout, on Monday, January 15. Mt. Baker will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Borderites go into the bout with a 3-11 record after their 79-27 league loss to Lynden (Lynden, WA).
