Neah-Kah-Nie Pirates (Rockaway Beach, OR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Taft Tigers (Lincoln City, OR), 61-51 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Neah-Kah-Nie upgrades its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Warrenton (Warrenton, OR) to play the Warriors in a 3A Coastal Range bout on Monday, January 15. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 9-6.

Next up, the Tigers play the Jefferson Lions (Jefferson, OR) in a 3A PacWest bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Taft will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record.
