The Norwalk Bears (Norwalk, CT) basketball felled the visiting New Canaan Rams (New Canaan, CT), 53-43 in Friday's league test.

The Bears (5-3) will now prepare for their test against Staples (Westport, CT). The Wreckers go into the Fairfield County test with a 5-2 record. In their last test, Staples was beaten by St. Bernard (Uncasville, CT), 70-59, in a non-league test.

The Rams now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Ludlowe for a Fairfield County test on Tuesday, January 16. New Canaan will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 60-43 league loss to Danbury (Danbury, CT). The Falcons record now stands at 6-2.
