In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Thoreau Hawks basketball team scored a good 44-33 triumph over the Hot Springs Tigers.
In their next game, the Hawks meet the Newcomb Skyhawks (Newcomb, NM) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 16. Thoreau will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Skyhawks enter the match with a 0-3 record after their 53-28 non-league loss to Shiprock (Shiprock, NM).
