Maple River Eagles (Mapleton, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bethlehem Academy Cardinals (Faribault, MN), 78-49 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Maple River upgrades its record to 18-9 on the season. The Eagles host Wyndmere/Lidgerwood (Wyndmere, ND) to clash with the Warbirds in a non-league bout on Monday, January 15. The Warbirds go into the bout with a record of 7-2. Wyndmere/Lidgerwood won 52-22 in their recent league bout against Hankinson (Hankinson, ND)

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms (Blooming Prairie, MN) in a A Section 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Bethlehem Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-8 season record.
