The Garden Plain Owls (Garden Plain, KS) basketball nipped the visiting Medicine Lodge Indians (Medicine Lodge, KS), 49-47 in Friday's non-league test.
The Owls (3-7) will now prepare for their test against Cheney (Cheney, KS). The Cardinals go into the Central Plains test with a 8-1 record. In their last test, Cheney got by Kingman (Kingman, KS), 43-30, in a non-league test.
The Indians now own a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Chaparral for a Central Plains test on Tuesday, January 30. Medicine Lodge will encounter a Roadrunners squad coming off a 57-50 non-league win over Conway Springs (Conway Springs, KS). The Roadrunners record now stands at 6-4.
