Holy Cross Knights (San Antonio, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting John Paul II Centurions (Corpus Christi, TX), 50-38 in a league bout.

With the win, Holy Cross upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Knights travel to Brentwood Christian (Austin, TX) to play the Bears in a TAPPS 4A District 3 bout on Friday, January 19. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 12-11. Brentwood Christian won 51-25 in their recent non-league bout against Regents (Austin, TX)

Next up, the Centurions play the Texas School for the Deaf Rangers (Austin, TX) in a TAPPS 4A District 3 bout, on Thursday, January 18. John Paul II will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The Rangers go into the bout with a 13-8 record after their 46-30 non-league loss to Indiana School for the Deaf (Indianapolis, IN).
