The Magnolia School of Excellence basketball team (Shreveport, LA), was overwhelmed 47-14 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Plain Dealing Lions (Plain Dealing, LA)
The Lions now possess a 8-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Arcadia for a 1A District 1 battle on Tuesday, January 16. Plain Dealing will battle a Hornets team coming off a 62-29 league win over Homer (Homer, LA). The Hornets record now stands at 21-2.
The (2-9) will now prepare for their battle against Haynesville (Haynesville, LA). The Golden Tornado come into the 1A District 1 battle with a 1-13 record. In their last battle, Haynesville was overwhelmed by Lakeside (Sibley, LA), 32-12, in a non-league battle.
