In Friday's league outing, the New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) basketball squad beat the visiting West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS), by a margin of 53-37.

The Trojans (11-7) will now prepare for their outing against Corinth (Corinth, MS). The Warriors go into the 5A Region 1 outing with a 0-19 record.

The Green Wave now own a 10-6 record. They play next when they travel to Kosciusko for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 13.
