North Pocono Trojans (Covington Township, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Western Wayne Wildcats (Lake Ariel, PA), 55-49 in a league bout.

With the win, North Pocono upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Trojans host Wallenpaupack Area (Hawley, PA) to play the Buckhorns in a Lackawanna 2 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Buckhorns go into the bout with a record of 2-0.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Abington Heights Comets (Clarks Summit, PA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 17. Western Wayne will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 8-3 record after their 56-44 league win over Valley View (Archbald, PA).
