Westgate Tigers (New Iberia, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Rayne Wolves (Rayne, LA), 50-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Westgate upgrades its record to 14-8 on the season. The Tigers host West St. Mary (Baldwin, LA) to clash with the Wolfpack in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Wolfpack go into the bout with a record of 11-4. West St. Mary won 56-13 in their recent league bout against Franklin (Franklin, LA)

Next up, the Wolves clash with the Breaux Bridge Tigers (Breaux Bridge, LA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 19. Rayne will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record.
