Next, the Cougars confront the Friendswood Mustangs (Friendswood, TX) in a 5A Region 3 District 18 challenge, on Saturday, January 13. Cinco Ranch will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Pasadena Memorial (Pasadena, TX).

The Texans now have a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host West Brook for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 16. Lamar will confront a Bruins team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX). The Bruins record now stands at 4-3.
