Calvary Christian Cougar (King, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Matthews Christian Academy Colts (Matthews, NC), 36-25 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Calvary Christian upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Cougar travel to Rockwell Christian School (Rockwell, NC) to clash with the Chargers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Rockwell Christian School lost 49-25 in their recent non-league bout against Cramerton Christian Academy (Cramerton, NC)

Next up, the Colts clash with the Shining Light Baptist Academy Sharks (Monroe, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Matthews Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record.
