Hoisington Cardinals (Hoisington, KS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Halstead Dragons (Halstead, KS), 54-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Hoisington upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Phillipsburg (Phillipsburg, KS) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 7-1. Phillipsburg won 59-31 in their recent league bout against Norton (Norton, KS)

Next up, the Dragons clash with the Smoky Valley Vikings (Lindsborg, KS) in a bout, on Tuesday, February 20. Halstead will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
