Hilltop Christian Chargers (Fuquay-Varina, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Liberty Christian Academy Heat (Richlands, NC), 34-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hilltop Christian upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Chargers travel to Bethel Christian Academy (Kinston, NC) to play the Trojans in a bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 5-5. Bethel Christian Academy won 35-30 in their recent non-league bout against Community Christian (Wilson, NC)

Next up, the Heat play the Bethel Christian Academy Trojans (Kinston, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 19. Liberty Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record.
