In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Winnetonka Griffins basketball team scored a tight 59-54 triumph over the Benton Cardinals.
In their next game, the Griffins meet the Platte County Pirates (Platte City, MO) in a Freelance match, on Tuesday, January 18. Winnetonka will attempt to better on its 5-7 season record.
With the defeat, Benton moves to 11-4 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Metro Academy (Shawnee Mission, KS) to meet the Mavericks in a non-league match on Friday, January 14. The Mavericks enter the match with a record of 16-4. Metro Academy lost 74-39 in their recent non-league match against Oak Park (Kansas City, MO)
