Broadview/Lavina Pirates (Lavina, MT) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Roberts Rockets (Roberts, MT), 65-53 in a league bout.

With the victory, Broadview/Lavina upgrades its record to 6-3 on the campaign.

Next up, the Rockets play the Meeteetse Longhorns (Meeteetse, WY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 14. Roberts will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Longhorns come into the bout with a 4-2 record after their 54-32 non-league win over St. Stephens (St. Stephens, WY).
