The Abington Galloping Ghosts (Abington, PA) basketball knocked off the visiting Lower Moreland Lions (Huntingdon Valley, PA), 50-42 in Friday's league test.

The Galloping Ghosts (7-8) will now prepare for their test against Springfield Township (Erdenheim, PA). The Spartans go into the Suburban One - American test with a 5-9 record. In their last test, Springfield Township went down by Plymouth Whitemarsh (Plymouth Meeting, PA), 70-33, in a league test.

The Lions now own a 6-9 record. They play next when they host Wissahickon for a Suburban One - American test on Tuesday, January 17. Lower Moreland will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 58-55 non-league loss to Bensalem (Bensalem, PA). The Trojans record now stands at 5-8.
