Archbold Blue Streaks (Archbold, OH) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Liberty Center Tigers (Liberty Center, OH), 51-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, Archbold upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Blue Streaks host Defiance (Defiance, OH) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 12-1. Defiance won 70-27 in their recent non-league bout against Fairview (Sherwood, OH)

Next up, the Tigers play the Swanton Bulldogs (Swanton, OH) in a Northwest Ohio bout, on Friday, January 20. Liberty Center will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 61-43 league win over Wauseon (Wauseon, OH).
