The Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL) basketball nipped the host Argo Argonauts (Summit, IL), 52-49 in Friday's league test.
The Astros (9-8) will now prepare for their test against Richards (Oak Lawn, IL). The Bulldogs go into the South Suburban test with a 7-13 record. In their last test, Richards was tipped by Thornridge (Dolton, IL), 61-59, in a non-league test.
The Argonauts now own a 2-15 record. They play next when they travel to Blue Island Eisenhower for a South Suburban test on Tuesday, January 17. Argo will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 59-51 league win over Oak Forest (Oak Forest, IL). The Cardinals record now stands at 7-13.
